Really nice and unique place in Amsterdam Noord, a lovely place to stay and relax from all the impressions from the main city. Still, it is conveniently located close to the Noorderpark, which itself is a single stop on the Metro from Amsterdam Centraal. Alex is a great host, very friendly and helpful. As the Room is below deck you can also enjoy your privacy if you want to. I would definitely recommend this place!

It was an amazing experience, the vibe of the place is great and it is very close to a metro station. Mr. Gross was super nice, he showed us everything, he even welcomed us with snacks and drinks. You get to have your own separate apartment so to say, the old Captains area. Upon entry you find the cozy living area with couch, two chairs and a vintage record player. Downstairs is the kitchen with fridge, dishwasher and enough utensils etc. Friendly little details provided by the hosts give it a very personal feel. the bedroom is a comfy bed for two and the window just above water level as well as the skylight with option cover makes for the true ship feeling. In the summer there is a small balcony with hammock upstairs. And the view of the harbor is very calming for us at least. The bathroom has a nice modern shower, the floor is such that it can be dried easily with the sweeper..All products were provided.

First, our host was friendly and accommodating from the start! She advised us on parking, travel in and around city center, made sure we felt comfortable in every way. My family of 4 rented 2 cabins, we had everything we needed, and it felt very special. Every nook and cranny was clean, information sheet was helpful, coffee supplies, refrigerator, and sweet touches like flowers and extra blankets and towels!

Waking up in the morning and having coffee on the canal, immersed in nature is a wonderful feeling. The place is really beautiful. It can be reached on foot in 15 minutes from the bus stop through a park that is pleasant to walk through and regenerating. Alternatively by car/taxi/bicycle directly in front of the houseboat. Vera and her husband were very helpful and gave us good advice. A fantastic experience.

The little touches like local beers in the fridge or umbrellas to borrow were great extras. The houseboat is easily reachable from the city centre by bus or tram, but also not that far to walk. The houseboat was so clean, comfortable and perfect for a couple of nights. We loved being on the water and feeling like we got a real Amsterdam experience.
