Everything was good. From the room to the food that we have ordered. I was for a business trip and I will definitely go again to visit the Legoland and will use the same hotel. The diner was very good. !

There were ten of us in the apartment, three generations, and no problem. It was spacious, whoever wanted it had their privacy. We will definitely come back next year, when we take the kids to Legoland again

Everythink in Günzburg was excellent.
Everythink in Günzburg was excellent. Easy to get there by train. Cosy center with lovely coffee an ice shops and resturants. We stayed in the hotel Goldene Traube three nights. We had a regular breakfast at the Reissler bakery (caffee, brezel, cakes..). We enjoyed pizzas and minestrone soups in Guntia pizzeria- very friendly to kids. Soups, kaesepaetzle, Maximillian's gulash, salats, kinderschnizel and apple fritters in brasserie Maximillan's at Marktplatz would recommend. Ice cream in Eiscafe numero Uno was dream for kids. And Legoland was above expectations: great fun for kids, but also for adults! Legoland was also easy accesable by a shuttle bus from train station.

We went there just for Legoland.
We went there just for Legoland. However we did try one Vietnamese restaurant (Schnell Restaurant Pham) and we like it so much we stuck with it! The three days we were there we ate only at Mrs Pham's!
Getting around the town on foot is easy.
Next time I would avoid renting an ev. This process of finding a way to pay for the charging of your electirc car is a nightmare for those not familiar with how this thing works in Germany and even worst for people like me that do not speak German.

Günzburg, a small town on the Danube has a delightful old central area with a thousand years of history. I knew absolutely nothing about it before, but spent three days on my own to kill time before travelling from a meeting here in the restored Castle - Schloss Reisensburg, on a hill overlooking the Danube, to another meeting in Italy. The Hotel Hirsch was a lucky choice, being right in the centre of the old town, where many of the buildings and views have been carefully restored with respect for their renaissance or baroque history. You can take a guided tour to visit the spectacularl rococo cathedral, and learn why it appears to be joined at the hip to a secondary school. It's a beautiful example of Zimmerman's architecture, with an interesting backstory. Look at the houses on the line of the old city walls, whose upper floors project successively further over the street below, and discover why one of the surviving towers on the city wall is called the Kuhturm (cow tower). For lots more information and relics of its period under the Romans and when it was in Austria under the Habsburgs, as well as more recent times, I can recommend the Heimatmuseum, but it's only open on Sunday afternoons. For dinner I got lucky in two of my three choices. Almost opposite the hotel is an excellent Greek restaurant called Platia, and a couple of blocks away an amazing Italian restaurant called Backstube at Ηοfgasse 21. I wouldn't bother with a couple of others which appeared on the web to be good.

Nice little bavarian town with a small historic centre, good services and selection of restaurants. Most people are visiting this place because Legoland Germany is located nearby and there is a lot of hotels in Günzburg.

Typical german town with a small old town.
Typical german town with a small old town. Nice old houses around Marktplatz.
It was hard to find a decent coffee/breakfast location. Lots of empty locations, probebly due to Covid.
If you want to visit Legoland, Günzburg is a very good place to stay. Its only about 9 Minutes by car away.
If I want to provide honest answer, this choice was our last minute and only because it is close to Legoland. But I would not stay with child again. The environment around is not pleasant, some hostel facility next door for workers, gas station next to and industrial area...I believe it is suitable for travelers for quick stay, but it is not definitely family style place. There is nothing around to buy food, you have to drive to the city.
Great spot if you are planning a trip to Legoland. Conveniently located to both the park and downtown. The hosts were helpful and available to answer any questions. The studio was modern and comfortable as well as extremely clean. A highlight for our 8 year old was the owners small dog who greeted us at our door in the morning. Highly recommend!
Comfortable beds, large bathroom, quality towels and fixtures, extra pillow and blanket.
Nice touch with the Haribo for the kid and the Gunzburg tour map - we actually used it.
Easy check in at the machine.
Friendly and accommodating, we were able to leave our luggage in the bike garage before check in, while visiting Legoland.
Uzay was very flexible and very supportive all the time.
The apartment is great, very new, enough space for family and nice bathroom, perfect for those visiting Legoland and also Metzingen (Outlet City) at same period of time.
Close to the park and markets, will be back for sure when coming to this region for more than 1 day.
1. Excellent hotel staff. The cleaning lady saw the birthday cake and left a congratulation and Haribo for the child.
2. Clean and spacious room, everything you need is there
3. Auto check-in if you arrive late
4. Excellent breakfast. Good selection of dishes
The staff was very welcoming! The hotel and room were beautifully set up! We felt comfortable and enjoyed our stay! I also liked that I was able to bring breakfast back to my room for my family.
Staff was very friendly and the room was very clean.
The location is a bit inconvenient because of ongoing road works, but once you figure it out it’s ok - less than 15 min to Legoland by car
We stayed ad quadriple room on the top floor. The breakfast was really good. The hotel's parking is few minutes walk from the building. The city center is also very close to the hotel.
Location is perfect for visiting Legoland Deutschland and the hotel is very family friendly. Breakfast was excellent as well as parking facilities. I definitely recommend it.
Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff, centrally and beautifully located and within walking distance to the train station (from where there is a bus to Legoland).
Nice small hotel 3 minutes by car to Legoland (to the centre of the town about 15 minutes on foot), very kind staff /owner, very good breakfast, fridge in the room
Very kind personnel, super clean room, spacious and somewhat cozy. The air conditioner was a great option to have. Very close to our final destination (Legoland).
Generaly the whole place is nice and we might be coming back. It's very close to Legoland and also the food (breakfast and dinner) were very good and tasty
