I loved the pools in the Spa. It was a most wonderful experience. The temperature of the water was perfect in both of them. The staff were lovely. I highly recommend this Spa. I also loved the trees and flowers everywhere in the kibbutz. Very special.

The place is situated in an oasis outside the town of Arad. You get the desert experience, but without giving up the option of a supermarket or other comforts of civilization.
cAmEls! If you like camels or one or more of your children like them, this is a great place for you o feed, pet and even ride them. You have an option of sleeping in a Bedouin tent, a hut or even a comfortable modern room. Some guests brought their own popup tents and set them inside the Bedouin tent, to get max privacy and protection from the elements.
The oasis is about 20 minutes easy drive from Masada-west, where you can watch the audio-visual show after nightfall.
Featuring an outdoor pool and air conditioning, HI - Massada Hostel lies at the foot of the Massada plateau on the eastern edge of the Judaean Desert.

Wow, shocked at how bad this hotel is. I don’t think you can really call it a hotel. Tiny rooms, zero view, very run down. Hotel restaurant has some of the worst food we have ever had and is super expaive. The pool is a kibitz pool shared with residents.

Ein Gedi Beach is closed. But you can reach Kalya Beach by bus or car in half an hour. Or you go down south, there are plenty of beaches there.

There were a lot of houseflies everywhere! ;-( The place has potential BUT it is really not clean... I don't recommend it, it was torture for us to stay there. What more my friend hanged a lightly wet dress in front of our tent and it was stolen.

A gorgeous oasis in the middle of the dessert.
A gorgeous oasis in the middle of the dessert. Birds, ibixes, hyraxes. The David waterfalls is beyond gorgeous.
The hikes are great and moderately difficult.
bring LOTS of water and go first thing in the morning before the throngs of school kids come.

If you want to have a silent night, don't stay here.
If you want to have a silent night, don't stay here. It's a very nice camping, with a lot of fun, but we had to get up early at 4.30am (to climb the massada), so the music which was still playing loudly till 11pm (or later) was just not a good option. But if you like fun in the evening, it's very excellent place. Thus I'll recommend it strongly in that case. The (public) bathroom is very clean.

We stayed in a superior room with beautiful view over the Ein Gedi nature reserve.
Breakfast and Dinner in the Restaurant were excellent with a huge selection of dishes.
Great service at the spa with relaxing salt and fresh watr pols
The apartment and its location are beautiful. It's located within the kibbutz itself, so you get a glimpse of kibbutz life, but you have access to the hotel facilities; the pool is a short walk through the botanical gardens of the kibbutz and you receive a 10% discount at the hotel restaurant and spa. There is a view of the Dead Sea from the balcony and stunning views of the surrounding desert. The hostess, Bar, was super friendly and helpful. If we needed anything, she provided it. Overall, we had an amazing stay. It was hard to leave!
Exceptional - in the Botanical Garden in the Kibbuz, lovely apartment, lovely owner who even washed our clothes when I asked if I could use his washing machine. The whole Kibbuz and the "Zimmer" are a haven, an oasis. We decided immediately we will come and stay again if we will head to the Dead Sea next time when we fly to Israel. It was one of the highlights of our trip to stay here (and memories of my time as a volunteer in a Northern Kibbuz at the lake of Galilee came back at once ;-)).
It's a humble flat, tidy and clean, if a bit dated. The double bed was comfortable. Sofa bed so-so. Kitchen had adequate dishes, cooking pots, etc. It's located in a kibbutz with a botanical garden. Has access to the hotel swimming pool. Five minute drive to En Gedi reserve. Host greeted us cheerfully, showed us the property and his reserved parking space. There were a couple of Ibex in the kibbutz.
A peaceful spacious light flat with a fabulous balcony with great views towards the Dead Sea and Jordan. Very clean and convenient, with good quality bedlinen. Rivka kindly met me with her kibbutz vehicle to help me with my luggage, and checked in regularly to see if everything was OK, and with crucial advice including for booking my bus to Eilat! It is a beautiful kibbutz!
1. The view was amazing.
2. Communication prior to arrival was fantastic. They let us know that the weather was expected to be windy.
3. Food at the restaurant was tasty and priced the same as most of israel and the beer was cold!
4. We brought are own tent and booked the empty lot, The lot's are spacious.

Beautiful studio with very nice terras, overlooking the mountains and the Dead Sea. Clean bathroom with excellent Ahava shower gel and shampoo. The host is very helpful and prepared a little fruitsalad as welcome. Easy parking, a mini market nearby… perfect place to discover zin Gedi, Masada etc
The location was great for visiting Massada and Ein Gedi. The tent spaces are close to one another so you may hear music or babies crying. The beds are mattresses on the floor. Incredibly picturesque and a great vibe with good food at the cafe. Most importantly, the air conditioning did the job.
Excellent breakfast buffet; impressive view over the Dead Sea from rooms balcony; location well accessible with private car or public bus; places of interest nearby (e.g. Qumran Park; En Gedi Nature Reserve; Masada National Park)
Beautiful, extensive gardens and grounds. Views of the Dead Sea and Wadis, we even saw ibex! Enjoyed the salt water float pool and Turkish bath at the Spa. Family friendly atmosphere at the Kibbutz activities.
It was wonderful staying in a kibbutz environment…felt extraordinarily safe, had use of a huge swimming pool, a few restaurant options and easy access to Ein Gedi, Massada and The Dead Sea
great location
fantastic botanical garden
very nice and helpful welcome
access to kibbutz dinner and hotel pool were much welcome and added a lot of charme and value
The kibbutz Ein Gedi is fantastic, beautiful gardens and views. Helpful attentive staff, the best massage I ever had! Relaxing in the spa was just amazing
The location was great in order to best the crowds at Ein Gedi in the morning. Also great views of the Dead Sea. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Wonderful host, wonderful apartment (looks even better than on photos), great atmosphere. Even had spares for everything if you didn't bring it with you
