One88 on Commerce is located in Whakatane. The 5-star motel is a short walk from the Whaktane District Aquatic Centre and walking tracks. One of the best places I have ever stayed at in New Zealand. We had a two bedroom suite and we will definitely be back, it was nicer than a 5 star hotel

Boasting an idyllic lake front setting, Acacia Lake View Motel offers free WiFi. Some rooms feature a balcony. All have a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. I asked for a quiet room upon request and got a lovely room away from the road yet still had a lake view. The room was spacious, the kitchen was great, the bathroom was big, the shower was fantastic. and the bed - which we are stay for - was brilliant. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay but the best part for me was Christine. A fantastic reception greeting and genuine acknowledgment throughout my stay with each passing ensured I was really appreciated as a guest. I don't mess around with inadequacy so there's no doubt I'll be staying here on each of my journeys through Taupo in the future. Thank you too the cleaners who do a great job and hold down a great company.

White Heron Motor Lodge is just 2 minutes' drive from the centre of Gisborne and 7 minutes' drive from the beach and the airport. Management was super helpful in providing suggestions for restaurants, shopping, etc.
