Located in the historical Shibu Onsen district, 渋温泉小石屋旅館 offers both private and dormitory-style guest rooms as well as an on-site restaurant where local dishes, wines and craft beers are available. Great location at the heart of ryokan alley, very hospitable hosts that can shuttle you from the Yudanaka Station to their place free of charge (prior reservation needed), nice cozy restaurant with kotatsu (very relevant when it is cold), comfortable ryokan with lots of space and a gas heater. The host was shinning and always smiling, it gave us good mood for two days. Also she helped us out with the reservation for the onsen and gave us a ride to that place and brought us back in an hour. Shibu Onsen Koishiya Ryokan are the best and we will definitely stay here if we ever come back to Japan again. ps we also left some chocolate from our country and asked them to pin it on their big wall in their cafe. we hope you liked the chocolate!

Hotel Fuki no Mori ponuja javne vroče kopeli, brezplačen WiFi in brezplačno parkirišče. Uživate lahko v sprehodih po vrtu in slikoviti okolici hotela. Just one word to describe our stay: PHENOMENAL! The staff, the room, the hotel, its location, their onsens, the food. Everything was perfect and beyond our imagination! Our room was so big and comfy and clean, we even had a massage chair and also hot-air syringe. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also had one person who could speak English pretty well. It was raining when we arrived and this went perfect with the hot onsens. We also booked the private onsen beforehand, but I personally liked the outdoor onsen more. You also have your own dining room with traditional Japanese food. The dinner has a very economic price for what you get (a seven-course menu). They also took into account that we are pescetarian. You also have the opportunity to use their shuttle service, which was very punctual and convenient. My husband was fasting, so he had to have his breakfast before sunrise. They even brought his breakfast to the room!

A 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Yorozuya features hot spring baths, a hot tub and Japanese-style rooms with a private terrace and private bathroom. Without requesting, they sent a chauffeur to drive us from the station to the hotel on a rainy night. The food is great, the baths are large, and the rooms are cozy. Top class service.

Situated just a 5-minute walk from historic Togakushi Shrine, Oshi Ryokan is traditional lodging accommodation in the peaceful mountain area, which used to cater for pilgrims. Felt instantly comfortable and at home. Beautiful old building. Wonderful staff and food!

Only a 10-minute drive from Snow Monkey Park, Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya offers simple Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi. Akira and his mother were incredibly accommodating and made us feel at home. They made me dinner and breakfast (gluten free and vegetarian) which was amazing. Their private Onsen is lovely and the room was really comfortable. Would highly recommend

A 3-minute walk from Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Kadowakikan features ski-to-door access, a hot spring bath and free WiFi. Mr. Kadowakikan was super friendly and helpful. He picked us up and dropped us off at the shuttle bus stop. He helped us order rental ski/snowboard equipment to the hotel. The hotel's own onsen was very clean and more comfortable than the town's free onsens.

A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. I opted for the Kaiseki meal with my stay and it was largely very good. The room was comfortable and clean, and the location was very central to the station and bus stops to attractions like the Monkey Park. Staff were helpful and attentive, and the outdoor hot spring bath was beautiful and well maintained. It was on the pricier side but the value was also high.

Minshuku Miyama offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi. Guests can relax in the public outdoor hot-spring baths and wear Japanese Yukata robes. Extremely kind staff, great location, wonderful breakfast and dinner, beautiful outdoor onsen.
